Follow the colored numbers of the size you’re making, ignore the other numbers/colors.
The numbers between the ( ) are the total sts of that row.
Size: 23/25 – 26/28 – 29/31 – 32/34 – 35/37
Footlength: 15 – 17 – 18 – 20 – 22 cm.
Yarn: 50-150 g (depending on size) of Drops Paris, Soft Cotton or similar, 17st x 22r and scrap yarn for border and overlapping clasp.
Needle: 4 ½ mm
Other materials: 2 buttons
sc – single crochet
dc- double crochet
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
st(s) – stitch(es)
WS – wrong side
RS – right side
tog - together
The slippers are crocheted, first round-round (toe), then back and forth (sole) and finally finished off with the heel.
Start with a magic circle = wrap the yarn round the finger two times and crochet directly in the circle that is created.
Toe:
R1) Sc 7 – 7 – 7 – 8 – 8 in the magic circle, end the row with a sl st, ch 1. Do not turn.
R2) Sc 2 in each stitch, sl st, ch 1. ( 14 – 14 – 14 – 16 – 16 )
R3) Sc 1 in each stitch and increase 4 – 6 – 8 – 8 – 8 sc evenly across the row, sl st, ch 1.
(18 – 20 – 22 – 24 – 24 )
R4) Sc 1 in each st, sl st, ch 1.
R5) Sc 1 in each stitch and increase 8 sc evenly across the row, sl st, ch 1. ( 26 – 28 – 30 – 32 – 32 )
R6) Sc 1 in each st, sl st, ch 1.
R7) Sc 1 in each and increase 4 sc evenly across the row, slip st, ch 1. ( 30 – 32 – 34 – 36 – 36 )
Continue with sc in each stitch, back and forth, until the work measures 5 ½ - 6 ½ - 7 ½ – 8 – 8 ½ cm.
Sole:
Do not finish the last row with a slip stitch and don’t turn your work. Continue with sc over the next 10 – 10 – 11 – 12 – 12 (RS), ch 1. Turn.
Sc 20 – 20 – 22 – 24 – 24 (WS), ch 1. Turn.
Continue with back and forth until the work measures 14 ½ -16 ½ - 17 ½ - 19 ½ - 21 ½ cm. Last row is on the WS.
Heel:
Crochet half heel first, then the other.
R1) (RS) Sc 6 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 8 , sc 2 tog 2 times, ch 1. Turn!
R2) (WS) Sc 2 tog 2 times, sc 4 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 6 , ch 1. Turn.
R3) Sc 2 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 4 , sc 2 tog 2 times, ch 1. Turn.
R4) Sc 2 tog, sc 2. Cut yarn and fasten.
Now other half of the heel.
Fasten yarn in center of heel.
R1) Sc 2 tog 2 times, sc 6 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 8 , ch 1. Turn.
R2) Sc 4 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 6 , sc 2 tog 2 times, ch 1. Turn.
R3) Sc 2 tog 2 times, sc 2 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 4 , ch 1. Turn.
R4) Sc 2, sc 2 tog. Cut yarn.
Sew the heel together in the back.
Border:
Change color if you want to. Fasten yarn in the center of heel and sc 1 in each st around the opening of the slipper.
When you reach the first corner of side-front, crochet the last st on the side and first st on front piece tog. This will make the corner nice and tight. When you reach the next corner, you do the same: last and first st tog. Finish the row in the back of the heel with a sl st.
Sc another row but this time without decreasing in the corners. Cut yarn and fasten.
Clasp:
(Make as long as you want/ need. This is only a suggestion.)
Right slipper: Fasten yarn in the 10th - 11th – 12 th – 13 th - 14th st, counting from the front left corner.
Left slipper: Fasten yarn in the 8 th - 9th – 10th – 11 th - 12th st, counting from the front right corner.
Ch 20 – 22 – 24 – 26 – 28 , dc in the 6th ch from the needle. *ch 1, skip 1, dc 1* repeat until end of row.
Left slipper: Finish off with 1 sl st, 2 sts from where you fastened the yarn, counting towards the heel.
Right slipper: Finish off with 1 sl st, 2 sts from where you fastened the yarn, counting towards the front.
Cut yarn and fasten.
Decorate the slippers, sew on buttons and enjoy warm and cozy feet! J
