Toes

Stitch with long stitches. I made four long stitches on each toe.

Mounting

Stuff the head but not the neck and fasten the safety eyes.

Stuff the feet.

Put the bottom or top on a table and lay out the legs, head and tail where you want them to be. Mark the two back legs. Between the markers is the opening.

Remove all loose parts and put top and bottom together – wrong sides together. With the top facing you, fasten yarn at first marker (where the right leg is going to be) and crochet the two pieces together all the way to next marker. Now you have an opening at the back.

Continue to sc around the opening. Break yarn and fasten.

Fasten the tail to the inside of the top piece.

Place the legs on bottom piece near the edge.

Fasten the neck on the top, near the edge. Sew all the way up on the shell, along both sides of the neck and at the back.

Have you chosen to crochet eyes?

Eyes – make 2

2,5 mm

Round 1)  With blue: 6 sc

Round 2)  Change to white yarn: 2in1 to end of rnd (12)

Round 3)  1 sc in each stitch (12)

Break yarn, make sure you have long enough tail to mount with. Pull the needle in and out of the stitches along the opening and pull tight to close the hole.

Eye lids – make 2

3 mm

Ch 4, dc 6 in very first ch (7)

Break yarn, make sure you have long enough tail to mount with.

Mount eyes and eyslids
Mark where you want your eyes, fasten them with pins if you want them to stay in place. Sew on the 2nd rnd, you just see the rounds of 1-2.

Fasten and sew the eyelids along the outer edge. Leave the part over the eye free.

Sew push buttons in the opening and Shellie is ready to carry your bags J
