Repeat row 6-17, two-three more times (or as many ridges you want)

After all ridges are made, knit 5 more rounds.

Thumb gusset
Right hand: place marker on both sides of the 4th stitch counting from start.
Left hand: place marker on both sides of the 4th stitch counting from end of round.

Increases for thumb gusset:
18) Knit to first marker, slip marker, lift the string of yarn between the stitches, twist and knit, knit to next marker, lift the string of yarn between the stitches, twist and knit, slip marker and knit till end of round.

19) Knit next round.

Repeat round 18-19 until you have 15 stitches between markers. End with a round of 19.

Take the needle with scrap yarn and pull through all the thumbstitches, taking them off the needle as you go. Let them rest in front of your work and continue to knit the rest of the sts to end of round. (44 sts)

Hand
Knit for 11 rounds.
3 rounds of rib: *k1, p1* makes it pull tight over the hand.
Cast off in rib.

(Instead of rib you can use moss stitch for the last 3 rounds.)

Thumb
Now to the resting thumbstitches.
Place all sts back to the needles and pick up 3 more stitches in the back of the thumb where there are no sts.= total of 18 stitches for the thumb.

Knit for 3 rounds and rib for 3 rounds as on the hand *k1, p1*.
Cast off in rib, break yarn and fasten loose ends.

(Instead of rib you can use moss stitch for the last 3 rounds.)

Happy knitting!
